We are proud to re-open a historic building, Muskogee Fire Station Number 1, that is part of the rich and colorful past of the City of Muskogee.
Muskogee has played an important part in Oklahoma history. By the end of the century, the Muskogee business district became a bustling area of shops, markets, saloons, hotels, and theaters.
After a devastating fire in the late 1800’s, rebuilding of the Muskogee business district began and the city’s first full time fire department was created. Muskogee Firehouse No. 1 became the first brick firehouse in Oklahoma.
Repurposed as Station 1 Restaurant and Muskogee Brewing Company, this firehouse will continue to be part of the colorful history of Muskogee.
